1909 is Grove Oklahoma’s gastropub. We specialize in Chef prepared American food and craft beer. Our menu has a variety of options ranging from pubtype food (nachos, wings, and cheese curds) to high end steaks and salmon. There is something for everyone!
The Blue Duck Brewhouse has a full service bar that features 10 Oklahoma craft beers on tap! There is also an espresso machine where you will be served coffee that is roasted right here in Oklahoma as well. Plan on joining us for your morning coffee, your evening beverage or better yet, BOTH!

Chef Peter Seay
Chef Seay brings with him to Grove extensive culinary experience and talent for creating an unforgettable menu.
Peter grew up in the Oklahoma City area, his family supported and helped to cultivate his culinary aspirations. He was an athlete growing up and remembers creating omelettes and grilled sandwiches after school to satisfy his appetite!
While attending college he had an opportunity to join the staff of Val Gene’s Restaurant Group where he worked his way up to the sous chef position. His talent there was recognized by world renowned Chef Giovanni Scorzo of Italy. He was recruited to join his staff in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There Chef Seay trained for several years, learning European style cooking and baking. During his time in Santa Fe he competed in Taste of Santa Fe and won first place and Best in Show.
Chef Seay eventually returned to Oklahoma and took a position as executive chef of Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond. During his time there he received second place in the Taste of Elegance and first place in Taste of Oklahoma.
Peter left Oak Tree to open his own restaurant, Gabriellas. Chef Seay had the support of his family during the ten years he had Gabriellas, working along side his mother, sister, nieces and nephews. During this time he competed in Taste of Elegance and won first place, he also traveled to Washington D.C. to represent Oklahoma in the national Taste of Elegance and placed 6th. Chef Seay sold Gabriellas, started teaching culinary arts, and consulting. He is now very happy to be in Grove with the 1909 team.
